Satan wants to keep us from God
It is easy to get caught up in everyday life (bills, work, people). In life we have all kinds of distraction. Distrations that can keep us from the word and communicating with God. Satan wants to keep us from God so he throws all sorts of things at us to keep us busy. If Satan keeps us busy, then the communication with God gets less and less. God wants us to take some time everyday and spend it with Him and His word. God tells us in Revelation 1:3 that those who read the word of the prophecy and hear are blessed. God wants us to talk to him and be faithful on doing so. So take time to be with God everyday. Not just once a week.Father, I know I need to read your word everyday. So give me the time in this busy world to do so. Bind Satan and all the evil in the world seen and unseen that keep me from you. Help me make time to be in Your word. Guide my Holy Spirit to know what your word is saying to me. I want to be close to you and know the words of the prophecy. Help me keep what is written. Father and Jesus guide my path so when the time comes I can be with you, Amen.
